I am back with another video, when setting up a Limited company it can be surprising to a lot of people how many commitments there are.

One of those is a confirmation statement.

So what is a confirmation statement?

A confirmation statement is a yearly submission to companies house to confirm the important company data is accurate at that date. This includes your registered office address, share holder details, people with significant control.

The date is the anniversary of your formation or a year after your previous statement, you then have 14 days to file the statement either online or by post.

So for example I formed Every Cloud Accounting on 21st September 2022, the first confirmation date is to 20th September 2023 and due 4th October.

Most accountants will do this for you and will just need to confirm if any details have changed, confirmation statement filing is now included in all of the Every Cloud packages.

If you’re doing it yourself you can set up email reminders from Companies House.

Are you using your tax-free dividend allowance? Check out last weeks video for all the information.

If you’re missing confirmation statement deadlines or not getting reminders from your current accountant, please drop me a message and I will be touch to see how I can help.
