How long does it take to change accountants?

How much does it cost to work with you?

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all and after the discovery call, you will receive a personalised proposal for your business. Some ballpark figures are sole trader accounts start at £300/year and small Limited Company accounts start at £110/month. I am probably not the cheapest in Burton on Trent, but packages are designed to give you the proper support you need.

Can we meet face-to-face in Burton on Trent?

Why should I switch accountants?

If you’re getting a great service from your current accountant, it makes no sense to change accountants.

But if you have that nagging feeling that you’re not getting the support you need, it could be the right time to start finding a better one. I am confident I can offer you the support you need, but it doesn’t have to be Every Cloud, there are hundreds of great accountants out there.

Does my current accountant know if I contact you?

Unless they have Spidey senses, no! I would never contact your current accountant without your permission. There’s a process called professional clearance, but this only happens once you have decided to move and given written permission to request details from your previous accountant.

What is a discovery call?

A discovery call is a quick 15-minute call so I can find out more about you and your business. It’s all a great opportunity to see if we are a good fit working together.

Can we work together still if I am halfway through my accounting period?

Yes! You can move accountants at any point in your financial year, you don’t have to wait until the end. The one thing to be aware of is immediate deadlines like payroll or VAT deadlines. If these are due in the next few weeks, it’s good to get these sorted before moving.

If you join part way through your year-end, there would be a small alignment fee to bring you up to date, then it’s a fixed monthly package thereafter.

An example would be if you have a year-end of 31st March and you were looking to move to Every Cloud in May, there would be 1/12 of your accountancy bill as an alignment fee for April, then moving forward you’re all sorted.
