Hey, I am Tom, a small business accountant helping clients in Sutton Coldfield.

I work with small business owners who need extra support. Typically, clients come to me when they’re not getting the support they need from their current accountant.

I am an independent accountant, which means you will only be dealing with me.

All fees are agreed in advance and are monthly packages, so you know exactly what you pay each month. Meeting your HMRC and Companies House deadlines and we will do that well in advance, but the other part is equally important, being there for you when you have questions and need extra support.

How long does it take to change accountants?

It can take anything from 24 hours to a couple of weeks. The process is relatively simple, if we work together, I will send you the onboarding steps within 24 hours, then once they’re completed, I will carry out the AML checks and request professional clearance from your previous accountant. How much does it cost to work with you?

There is not a one-size-fits-all all, but sole trader accounts start from £300/year and small Limited Company accounts start from £110/month. I am probably not going to be the cheapest, but packages are designed to give you the support you need.

Can we meet face-to-face in Sutton Coldfield?

Of course! With most clients, I communicate over the phone, email, and WhatsApp. But you can’t beat meeting face-to-face, whether that’s an initial discovery session or going through your accounts in person. If this is important to you, I am happy to do it.

Can I contact you if I need to speak to you?

This one is a big one… YES! No ghosting, no going AWOL, I will always answer or call you back, as a friend or family member would. Nothing is more annoying than trying to contact someone who doesn’t get back to you.

⭐ Relaxed, reliable, and friendly – No acronyms or stuffy accountancy speak, I speak like a human in layman’s terms. Accountancy is confusing enough already, without dropping words into the conversation that would score well on Countdown.

⭐ Digital practice – I take advantage of amazing software like Xero and Dext, to make your life easier and to get access to your financial information at a click of a button.

Will my current accountant know I have contacted you?

No, only if we work together, I will then request written permission from you to contact your current accountant, until you have done so, no contact will ever be made.

Do I have to work with you after a discovery call?

Of course not! A discovery call is all about seeing if we are a good fit, both ways. If you’re not confident I can help you, it doesn’t make sense to work together. You must believe that I can have a positive impact on your business.

Can we work together if I am halfway through my year-end?

For sure, you can change accountants at any point. If you have immediate deadlines within the next few weeks it makes sense getting these submitted. But after that I can onboard you at any point, there will be an alignment fee to bring you up to date, then a monthly package moving forward.
